Avinet Pty Ltd (“We”, “Us”, “Avinet”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) relates to services provided through Avinet’s website (“Website”) and the Air Maestro application (“Product”) and sets out the basis on which the personal data collected from you, or that you provide to us will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.
This Privacy Policy tells you how your personal data will be handled by us in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles or, where applicable, other data protection laws (such as those in force in the European Union).
In using Avinet’s website, products and services, for the purposes of the applicable data protection laws:
- In respect of the personal data of customers of Air Maestro and the services and business contacts and prospects of Avinet, the Data Controller is Avinet Pty Ltd.
- Where Avinet processes personal data of users on behalf of the customer as part of the services, Avinet is a Data Processor in performing such processing and the customer is the Data Controlled.
- Where you are employed by Avinet’s customer, the customer’s privacy policy, rather than this privacy policy is applicable to the processing of your personal data.
- In respect of some processing of users’ personal data, Avinet may act as a Data Controller, for example, where users have engaged with Avinet’s website, products or services beyond those relating to the customer. For example, users following Avinet on social media, signing up for newsletters and contacting Avinet regarding feedback or suggesting product improvements.
What information we collect about you
